Finns admired Russian cars

Finns are going to buy Russian cars because of European bans. The Finnish newspaper Ilta Sanomat published an article about the best-selling cars in Russia, which caused a stir among readers.

The article reports that four of the ten most popular models of new cars in Russia are "Lada", and the total sales of the brand in the country exceed 200 thousand units per year. Readers remembered that earlier Russian cars were popular in Finland, and their characteristics allowed using the car in conditions of frost. "In the 1970s, Lada was the only brand that started in winter and stayed warm," make wrote. "I also heard something like that. I can't confirm it myself, I was still very young at that time. But my mother told me that there are no such frosts in which the Lada would not start, " the WB user replied. Other commentators have noticed that AvtoVAZ continues to produce cars with internal combustion engines (ICE), while in Europe they are trying to abandon them. "Buying a Lada is a great option for those who do not want to lose a lot of money when the ICE is banned," Ykä wrote. "When they stop producing cars with an internal combustion engine in Europe, we will go to Russia for a new Lada," glx added. He expressed confidence that Russian manufacturers will not abandon such engines.
