The Aurus Commandant is equipped with a hybrid powerplant with a 598-horsepower V8 gasoline engine, a nine-speed automatic with a built-in electric motor and all-wheel drive. Unlike the sedan, the SUV received an air suspension. "Aurus is a unique project for the Russian automotive industry. Thanks to such projects, we are strengthening Russia's technological sovereignty, creating a platform for the automotive industry to further develop competencies and complex high-tech solutions within the country. In the context of the sanctions imposed against Russia, this is especially relevant. Technological approaches and developments that were created and are being created for Aurus are already being integrated into various segments of the automotive industry and other industries: in particular, its engine has been adapted for use in small aircraft," commented Denis Manturov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Recall that in July, an application for the conclusion of a SPIC with the company "Aurus" was approved. It became the first investment contract, the parameters of which provide for the production of cars with a hybrid power plant.
