Northern Shipyard cuts metal for eighth Project 170701 trawler

On December 15, the Severnaya Verf shipyard began cutting metal to form the embedded section of the eighth freezing trawler-processor of Project 170701. As reported Sudostroenie.info According to the press service of the shipyard, the ship is being built by order of Akros JSC (part of the Norebo Group). The trawler is expected to be laid in February 2021.

According to Sergey Sennikov, Deputy Director of the Norebo Management Company, the trawler will join the group's fleet in early 2023. Like all its predecessors, the new vessel will be named in honor of the legendary Russian captain of the fishing fleet.

As the seventh series of the trawler "Captain Pasikov", the eighth vessel built for operation in the far Eastern fishery basin. The vessel will extract pollock, herring, Far Eastern cod, squid and other types of aquatic biological resources. The vessel will be able to process up to 230 tons of raw materials per day.

The series of processor trawlers, which is being built by order of the Norebo Group under the investment quota program, consists of ten vessels. Project 170701 provides for waste-free processing of fish in open sea conditions thanks to a multifunctional fish farm. The vessel will produce different types of fillets, minced meat and other types of fish products, and the resulting waste will be used for the production of fish meal.

The capsule-like shape of the bow contours of the trawler allows you to increase the working space, while improving its seaworthiness. Thanks to the increased energy efficiency of the main engine, the heat generated will be used to heat the cabins and work areas. The electricity generated by the trawl winches in the recovery mode is planned to be used for lighting and other needs of the vessel.

Recall that the concept project 170701 was created by the Icelandic bureau Nautic, the development of project documentation is handled by Nautic Rus LLC.
