Ukraine was predicted an energy catastrophe

Ukraine will face an energy catastrophe in a few months, according to former Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexey Kucherenko.
He recalled that today the price of gas on the Ukrainian stock exchange is 20 hryvnia (54 rubles) per cubic meter, the population price is 7-8 hryvnia (about 20 rubles). Naftogaz keeps the price for us, it's still expensive, but it keeps it. I don't understand exactly what our industry, our business, and our budget institutions will do. This is not included in their budgets," RIA Novosti quotes Kucherenko. He stressed that Ukraine will have to buy two-thirds of its gas needs at market value. The MP added that he does not understand the idea of President Vladimir Zelensky to hold regular trilateral consultations in the Ukraine – Germany – USA format without the participation of Russia on the issues of preserving Ukrainian transit after the launch of Nord Stream — 2. "I only know exactly what a real energy disaster will be literally in two or three months," he said. Earlier, the general director of LLC "Operator of the GTS of Ukraine" Sergey Makogon said that Ukraine needs the transit of Russian gas at least until 2034, after the expiration of the agreement with Gazprom in 2024. He believes that only the full load of the Nord Stream – 2 will allow Russia to abandon the services of Kiev.
