Russia has started mass production of MI-38 helicopters
The First production civilian mi-38 helicopter has been added to the fleet of the commercial operator - Russian Helicopter Systems. The Mi-38 helicopter combines many innovative solutions that relate to almost all elements of the design.
One of these solutions, for example, was the new blades. In fact, in the Russian Federation, for the first time, a six-blade main rotor with a variable pitch was implemented in practice and, as a result, blades of a completely new profile with excellent aerodynamic characteristics were developed.
The introduction of modern technologies has significantly reduced the noise of the helicopter, which meets the best international standards. Modern navigation equipment of the helicopter allows you to fly in difficult weather conditions day and night. Such equipment is indispensable for rescue operations and firefighting, where time plays a key role.
We would also like to note how spacious the interior of the new helicopter is. The payload capacity of the Mi-38 is 6,000 kg, and the helicopter can take a load of 5,000 kg on an external suspension, which is one ton more than the Mi-8's capabilities. The helicopter is also able to take on Board up to 30 passengers against 24 in the Mi-8.
