Additive technology: cs "Zvezdochka" began to grow details of marine engineering

Specialists of the Zvezdochka CS have started experimental work on direct laser growth of marine engineering parts. This is reported by the press service of the enterprise.

The creation of the installation for a total of 60 million rubles was financed by Saint-Petersburg State Marine Technical University SPbGMTU (it was also engaged in the supply). The company also received a federal subsidy from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. The product is an 8-coordinate laser growing unit with a robot manipulator and a two-axis positioner, which will allow you to grow products made of various metals with a diameter of 1300 mm, a height of 500 mm and a weight of up to 250 kg.

The use of additive technologies will allow the company to significantly reduce the time for the final mechanical processing of the finished product and quickly repair and restore parts of marine engineering by laser powder surfacing. The installation itself was delivered to the shipyard in the summer of 2020 as part of the Federal Target Program "Research and Development in priority areas of development of the scientific and technological complex of Russia for 2014-2020".
