Lithuania's defense Minister may have brought the coronavirus to the Pentagon.

Acting Deputy defense Minister Anthony Tata twice received a positive diagnosis Lithuanian defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis may have brought the coronavirus to the Pentagon.

According to a representative of the Ministry of defense, the Lithuanian Embassy notified the Ministry that Karoblis was diagnosed with coronavirus.

Karoblis visited the Pentagon on November 13, meeting with several senior officials, including acting defense Secretary Chris Miller. On that day, he also met with the army and aviation Ministers and acting Undersecretary of defense for policy Anthony Tata.

On Monday, November 16, the Minister met with the Secretary of the Navy, the Pentagon said.

"All of them were tested after the meetings," said Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman. – In connection with the receipt of the notification from the Embassy, Mr. Tata was tested twice today and got a positive result. He will be isolated at home for the next two weeks, in accordance with the protocols of the Centers for disease control".

According to Hoffman, the Pentagon "continues to track the contacts of employees of Ministry of defense, which was in close contact with the Lithuanian delegation or Mr. Tata, and take appropriate precautions in accordance with CDC recommendations".

The results of the tests of the acting defense Minister were not disclosed.
