Moscow has entered the top five best cities

The Ossetian capital took the fourth place in the authoritative ranking of the 100 best cities in the world - The World's 100 Best Cities. The rating takes into account the tourist attractiveness of megacities, their convenience for life, work and business, the press service of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow reports.
The rating has been compiled since 2016 by the international consulting company Resonance Consultancy on the basis of statistics, reviews of entrepreneurs, tourists and industry professionals. This year, London, Paris and New York became the leaders. After Moscow, Dubai is in fifth place. "Just like last year, Moscow became the fourth in the list of the best megacities for living, working and traveling. The rating takes into account many parameters. International experts evaluate not only the possibilities of the economy or, say, the cultural environment, they analyze how well the city is developing. We have once again confirmed our leadership positions, ahead of the strongest rivals, in particular, Tokyo, Dubai, Singapore, Barcelona and Los Angeles," said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, head of the mayor's office and the government of the capital. The compilers of the rating evaluated the statistical indicators of the world's megacities in 24 regions, grouped into the following categories: "Place", "Product", "People", "Economic prosperity", "Leisure", "Promotion". Moscow has become a leader in the "Product" category due to the developed infrastructure, air traffic and the number of attractions. The Russian capital was the second in the "Place" category - analysts took into account the high level of security and the availability of high-quality parks in Moscow. In the category" Leisure " Moscow became the fifth, in terms of the level of education of residents, it entered the top 3 along with London and St. Petersburg, and in terms of the number of hashtags on Instagram, the capital was in the top ten. According to Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, in this year's rating, the capital has significantly strengthened its position in the group of indicators "Economic Prosperity", rising from 64th to 25th place. Among other things, Moscow is dynamically developing as an international technological center. All conditions have been created in the metropolis for the creation and implementation of innovative products, said Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development. "Thanks to the programs of the Moscow government, startups can promote their developments with the support of the city and large businesses, test them in an urban environment, and then start interacting with partners and customers. In the future, the most promising technologies will be introduced into the infrastructure of Moscow, making the city even more innovative and attractive for residents and tourists, " Fursin said.
