Biden's speech at the Summit of the Americas was interrupted by protesters

US President Joe Biden's speech at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles (California) was interrupted by protesters, who were eventually escorted out of the hall. This is reported by a TASS correspondent from the scene.

At the beginning of the speech of the American leader, shouts were heard from the back rows, the contents of which could not be understood. Biden continued his speech. As the TASS correspondent was convinced, security officers took the protesters out of the hall.

"President Biden began speaking at 18:00 (04:00 Moscow time), and he was almost immediately interrupted by two people from among those present in the hall. The [Presidential] pool failed to make out what the protesters were saying," the press pool of the American leader emphasizes. Biden's speech lasted a total of about 13 minutes, no one interrupted him anymore.

The Summits of the Americas are meetings of the heads of State and Government of the countries of the Western Hemisphere, which take place every few years under the auspices of the Organization of American States, which unites more than 30 participants. This year the meeting will be organized by the USA in Los Angeles. The delegations of Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela were not invited to the meeting. The leaders of Mexico and a number of other Latin American countries decided to refuse to participate in the summit.
