Marshall Islands opens diplomatic ties with eSwatini

The Marshall Islands has established diplomatic relations with eSwatini.

The two countries signed a joint communique on Thursday in Taiwan, a key ally of both nations.

eSwatini was formerly known as Swaziland.

A statement from the office of Marshall Islands President Hilda Heine said her government had also reaffirmed its commitment to ties with Taiwan.
