Turks in shallow water.

Erdogan: "Turkey doesn't have a drop of water to waste." Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated the need to protect the country's water reserves.

According to him, Turkey now "does not have a drop of water that can be wasted." This is reported by RIA Novosti. He made such a statement during his speech in Ankara. According to Erdogan, Turkey risks facing food security and water scarcity in the near future. In this regard, the Turkish leader called on the citizens of the country to use water efficiently and economically.  "Turkey is one of the group of countries suffering from water stress. We are forced to share already limited water resources with our neighbors such as Iraq and Syria. Turkey doesn't have a drop of water to waste. Polluting our water resources is tantamount to betrayal. We must remember that future generations also have the right to the water resources that we have inherited. We can prevent waste by taking simple measures in our daily lives," Erdogan said.  Earlier, Turkish Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Yumakli made a similar statement.
