The US Congress called for Turkey to be expelled from NATO

A resolution to exclude Turkey from the North Atlantic Alliance has been submitted to the US house of representatives. The document was presented by Tulsi Gabbard, a Member of the US house of representatives, According to the Armenian national Committee of America (ANCA).

The document published on Twitter by the ANC notes that Turkey openly supports Azerbaijan in the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh. The document also says that Ankara attracts terrorists from al-Qaeda* and the Islamic state, and the Armenian forces shot down a Turkish F-16 fighter jet flying in the skies of Armenia and Artsakh.
"And this is the case when NATO calls on the parties to stop armed actions and resolve the issue through negotiations," the document says, Sputnik Armenia writes.
The resolution was introduced by Tulsi Gabbard, a Member of the US house of representatives. The document notes that Canada has already decided to stop supplying weapons to Turkey, taking into account their use in military operations. In this regard, Turkey expressed dissatisfaction, referring to the agreements between the NATO countries. Tulsi Gabbard is a member of the United States House of representatives from Hawaii's second congressional district (since 2013), and the first Hindu member of Congress in U.S. history. Gabbard is a major in the U.S. National guard and a veteran of the Iraq war. Gabbard opposes the policy of US military intervention in the Affairs of sovereign States. Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Turkey is trying to arrange a new genocide of the Armenian people, and the conflict itself would not have started without Ankara's intervention. According to Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, Turkey is trying to control oil and gas pipelines and migration flows not only in Azerbaijan, but also in other regions, which will allow it to influence Europe, North Africa, Central Asia and the Caspian region.
